Salutations! Hey there. I never know how to start these ‘about me’ posts. Here goes nothing… I’m Lacey. I am a twenty-something year old girl (woman sounds weird) who has been happily (really) married since June of 2011, began a career of teaching after graduating from CU in 2010, and enjoys the finer things in life like Alabama football, Sprite with lime, flip flops, anything houndstooth, college baseball, and Ranch dressing. Oh, and this goes without saying, but I love my friends and family. And the husband rocks. I feel like I should say, “Mess with them and you mess with me,” but that sounds awfully high school and kind of aggressive. But you catch my drift.
The meaning behind the title “Palms & Psalms” you ask? Well, truthfully, the one I wanted was taken (“Light for my Path”) based on my favorite Scripture, Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path” ~ Psalms 119:105. Once I accepted that the title was taken, I racked my big noggin’ for ideas…. and this one just stuck. Palms because I am a total typical beach bum. I love nothing more than reading a magazine, toes in the sand, listening to the waves, and seeing palm trees around me. Psalms obviously due to the verse above and that my relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. Plus, whenever life gets crazy, the best place I could imagine for the worry to go away would be under a palm tree reading out of Psalms. Not a bad image, eh?
Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ll come back.
